Donna Lovecoches is Chair of the Progress Dam Statue Committee, which is responsible for the selection and realization of Progress Dam's civic statue.

The Committee evaluates all proposals against a single criterion, and has found this sufficient. Several proposals have been received. All applicants receive a response. The Committee continues its work.

A proposal to install a temporary placeholder while the statue is selected was evaluated under the same criterion.

The statue's subject has not yet been announced. The site has been selected and remains available.

Every month or so, Donna Lovecoches wears two different shoes. The shoes are always strikingly similar, and no one ever notices unless Donna chooses to fill them in.

When asked what the Committee is looking for, Donna Lovecoches said, “Something ubiquitous.”
