BORTNER'S TREE FARM

Bortner's Tree Farm grew and sold trees from 1936 to 1990.

The trees were grown on the property from seed.

Norway spruce was the principal stock. Apples were also grown.

The trees did very well in the local soil and climate.

Many of them can still be seen.

The farm closed following a permitting issue.

The matter is considered resolved.
